Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail Challenge

The Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail Challenge is a trail running event on the crushed-stone rail trail that connects St. Eugene and Hammond in eastern Ontario. The route offers wide-open farmland views, shaded woodlots, and small-town sections along a mostly flat corridor. The trail is described as runnable with minimal technical sections.

The event runs out-and-back courses in multiple distances. Aid stations are placed approximately every 4 to 8 km and provide water, electrolytes, and a variety of snacks. The 50-mile and 100 km options accept solo runners and relay teams. Race services listed for participants include an event T-shirt or hoodie for some distances, post-event snacks or a meal, and awards for top male and female finishers in each distance.

Logistics mentioned include race kit pickup and late registration around the event, a participant guide, and posted past results. Entry rules note that upgrades are allowed with payment of the difference, downgrades are allowed without reimbursement, and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Volunteer opportunities and community partners support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
