About the race
The Superhero 5K and Fun Run in Collin County, Texas is an inclusive community running event organized by Powered to Move on October 10, 2026. The event welcomes people who walk, run, or roll in wheelchairs and offers options for participants to team up as a duo with a pushchair or stroller.
Participants who require assistance during the route are expected to register with a family member or friend to assist them; this applies to people with intellectual disabilities and to young children. Manual wheelchair users, pushchairs, and strollers are explicitly welcome. Service animals are the only animals permitted on course.
Along the route there will be guest Superheroes and a vendor area. Food trucks will be on site. The race experience includes free food, free photos, games on the grass, and free superhero themed cotton candy. The event also lists opportunities for sponsorship to support people with disabilities and features a selection of community sponsors.
The presentation emphasizes accessibility and celebration of participation across different abilities, with on-course elements and a post-event area aimed at creating a communal atmosphere for attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
