Powell Wellness Center Turkey Trot : November 26, 2026
The Powell Wellness Center Turkey Trot is the ninth annual community 5K event held in Culpeper, Virginia on November 26, 2026. The event supports community wellness and funds medical fitness scholarships; in 2025 the program awarded scholarships to 214 individuals and that year saw 767 registrants.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Powell Wellness Center. Registration closes November 24 and there is no race day registration. Registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable; entries cannot be deferred to a future year. If the event is canceled due to weather, credits and gift cards for the value of registration will be issued.

Logistics and services include parking at Mulberry Commons or Meadowbrook Shopping Center while the PWC lot remains closed to vehicles, stroller placement at the back of the starting field for safety, and no pets allowed. Timing and individual results are provided by Love Timing and will be displayed at the finish. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. Free child care is available on race day with limited space and requires pre-registration. A water station is located on the route near the Country Club of Culpeper entry, and complimentary fruit and water are provided after the race. Race shirts in adult and youth sizes S to 2XL are distributed at packet pickup and are guaranteed for participants who register by October 31; later registrants receive shirts as supplies last.
