Powell Wellness Center Turkey Trot
The Powell Wellness Center Turkey Trot is the ninth annual community 5K held on November 26, 2026 to support local wellness and fitness scholarship programs. The event contributes to medical fitness scholarships; in 2025 the event drew a record 767 registrants and 214 individuals received medical fitness scholarships.
The course is a 5K with timing and individual results provided by Love Timing and finish-line results displayed at the event. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in age categories 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. A water station is located on the route at the entry to the Country Club of Culpeper property, and complimentary fruit and water are available after the run. Race shirts in adult and youth sizes S through 2XL are distributed with packet pickup and are guaranteed for participants registering by October 31; later registrants receive shirts while supplies last.
Event policies note that registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable and entries cannot be deferred; if weather forces cancellation, credits or gift cards equal to registration value will be issued. PWC parking will be closed to vehicles; recommended parking is across Madison Road at Meadowbrook Shopping Center or at the lot adjacent to PWC at Mulberry Commons. Strollers must line up at the back of the field and pets are not allowed. Free child care is available with limited space and requires pre-registration.
