Pound the Pavement 5K Color Fun Run/Walk - Bangor, ME
Pound the Pavement is the 14th annual untimed 5K color fun run and walk held in Bangor, Maine on October 4, 2026. The event starts with participants wearing white and includes color stations that apply colored powder at each kilometer so participants finish covered in color.
This edition includes a Junior "Mad Dash of Color" for children ages 8 and under. After the main event there is a gathering at Sea Dog where participants receive two complimentary beverages, including adult beverages for those 21 and older.
Registration fees vary by category. Cancer survivors are invited to participate free of charge by selecting the cancer survivor registration option. The first 200 registered participants receive free goodie bags, with Visa gift cards placed randomly in some bags. Participants who register before September 1 receive a complimentary event T-shirt.
All proceeds benefit the Purple Iris Foundation, which provides support for individuals in Maine who are dealing with the effects of cancer.
