Potomac Shores 2026 Trail Fun Run
The Potomac Shores 2026 Trail Fun Run takes place on October 3, 2026 in Central Park at Potomac Shores in Dumfries, Virginia. The event is held annually for residents of the Potomac Shores community and their friends and guests. It is free of charge; event expenses are paid by the homeowners association and the race is organized by the HOA Trails Committee.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K open to ages 11 and older
The two courses start on the same route and split at about the two mile mark. Both courses are primarily on the community wooded trail network. On race day there is check in for bibs and T shirts. Parking is available on side streets near Central Park.
Awards are given for top finishers. For the 5K there are first through third place prizes in age categories including boys and girls 14 and under, men and women 15 to 54, and senior men and senior women 55 and older. For the 10K there are first through third place prizes for men and women up to age 54, and first place prizes for senior man and senior woman age 55 and older.
