Portland Parks 5K Fun Run at Pier Park
Portland Parks & Recreation presents a family friendly 5K as part of its annual 5K Fun Run Series, held monthly from May through August at parks across Portland. The Pier Park event is scheduled for July 12, 2026.
A $5 registration fee applies to participants aged 18 and older; participants younger than 18 run for free. The series emphasizes participation across ages, athleticism, and friendly competition. The program welcomes new walkers and runners as well as experienced racers.
Organizers encourage pre registration; walk up registration is accepted on the day of the run for cash only. On race day participants can time themselves using a sports clock and every finisher receives a ribbon. A kids Fun Run is offered in shorter distances for children eight years old and younger.
Event day activities typically include music, children activities, raffle prizes, and vendors.
