Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K - Portland, OR
The 1st Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K is scheduled for October 3, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. The event takes place at Laurelhurst Park, meeting near the NW corner of SE César E. Chávez Blvd. and Stark Street, Picnic Area E. It includes an open division and a dedicated Ostomate division, both covering a 5K distance.
The event program lists local vendors, food, music and family-friendly activities. Awards will be presented to top finishers in the Male, Female and Ostomate categories; the Ostomate division specifically recognizes the top three Ostomate finishers. Participants can create or join a race group or team; team entries are not the same as a team fundraiser. A race day schedule will be announced.
Registration details published for the event show a fee of $30 with registration opening February 28, 2026 and closing August 1, 2026. Fundraising options are available: raising $150 or more triggers a registration fee refund, and higher fundraising tiers are noted at $250 and $450 with associated awards. A referral program offers a $20 refund for inviting five registered participants. Event registration protection insurance is available for an additional fee, subject to policy terms.
