Portland Donut Mile - Portland, OR
The Portland Donut Mile is the third annual event held at Duniway Track in Portland. The main race covers one mile using a four lap format in which each runner consumes a total of four donuts. Each lap begins only after the donut for that lap is fully eaten. If a runner vomits they must run an additional lap at the end. Finishing order is based on completing four donuts and four laps.
A separate Kids Donut Dash is offered for children 10 and under. The kids event covers 100 meters and includes eating a single Krispy Kreme Donut Dot before running. The kids event is free.
The event provides plain glazed Krispy Kreme donuts. Participants with dietary restrictions may bring their own donuts. Registration for the main race carries a fee of $12 which covers the cost of the donuts; the kids dash is free. Organizers will record finishing times and award prizes to the top male and female finishers. Raffles will also be held.
