The Popcorn Run Saskatoon
The event takes place at Rotary Park on Saskatchewan Crescent East in Saskatoon. Courses run mainly on trails and grass and head east along the Meewasin Trail. Strollers are permitted and participants may share the path with walkers and cyclists.
Distances offered
- Little Kernel 2 km: bag of popcorn, cup of lemonade, finisher medal.
- Poppen 5 km: finisher medal, large bag of kettle corn, large cup of lemonade.
- Hot Poppin 10 km: finisher medal, two large bags of kettle corn, large cup of lemonade.
There are two water stations at the 5 km and 10 km turnaround points. Parking and on-site bathrooms are available. No bag check is provided. The event notes that animals, including dogs, may be present and asks participants to be respectful; dogs should not wear muzzles.
The event partners with Scouts Canada. Funds support the No One Left Behind program, which aims to remove financial barriers so more youth can take part in Scouting activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
