Pop Up 5s - Staffordshire (May to August 2026)
Pop Up 5s is a series of Wednesday evening summer 5 km races held across Staffordshire in May, June, July and August 2026. The series uses a catalogue of 12 measured routes around towns in Staffordshire, with a different selection of four routes chosen each year. Routes listed for this year include Stoke-on-Trent (three variations), Newcastle, Kidsgrove, Biddulph, Cheadle, Leek, Stone, Stafford, Burton and Uttoxeter. Routes are released one month before each race.
Entry options include a series entry covering all four races or single-race entries. Those who enter all four events before the first race receive an event t-shirt; a t-shirt can also be purchased separately. All routes will be measured and submitted to performance listing services such as Power of 10.
Prizes are awarded each race to the top three finishers and the fastest local runner, with each of those receiving a free entry to any AV Timing event. Series awards include overall male and female 1st to 3rd plus age-group prizes for V40, V50, V60 and V70. Minimum age is 11 and maximum entries are 500 per race. Race locations are revealed progressively: Race 1 location available 01/04/26, with subsequent races announced at the preceding event.
