Event overview

The Scott Sports Dirty Dozen is a trail running event held at Tackeroo Campsite, Penkridge Bank, near Rugeley, Staffordshire (WS15 2UA). The main course is a single-lap loop through Cannock Chase with off-road terrain, including forest paths, stone tracks, muddy singletrack and a feature called the Ditch of Doom. The course is undulating with climbs and fast descents. Water stations are provided every 5 km. All finishers receive a bespoke Dirty Dozen medal.

  • ~2.5 km Under-14 kids course with less technical sections

Event categories cover Adult & Junior (ages 14–49), Vet (50+), and a Kids event for under 14s (age on the day). Parents may run alongside children in the U14 event. There is no time cut-off for the main event. Prize presentation takes place after the third female finisher crosses the line.

Venue, entry and services

The event is organised by Mayer Active and is staged at Tackeroo Campsite. The venue offers free on-site parking about 100 m from the start/finish, camping, toilets, catering, bag storage and a professional photographer. Race numbers are not posted in advance; participants must sign on on the day to collect numbers. Transfers and refunds are available via Racespace until 28/02/2026 (transfer credit fee £1, refund minus £5). A Scott Sports shoe demo will be available during the event.
