Event Overview

The Scott Sports Dirty Dozen Adventure Trail Run is a 12km single-lap, off-road trail run held at Cannock Chase. It will be the 13th edition of this event. The course is 100% off-road, featuring winding forest paths, stone tracks, muddy singletrack, and an area known as the "Ditch of Doom," for which a dry bypass route exists. The route is shaped in a figure of eight around the central arena, which is noted for being spectator-friendly.

Categories

  • Main Event (Adult & Junior): For ages 14-49.
  • Vet: For ages 50 and over.
  • Kids' Event: A 2.5km course for participants under 14 years old. Parents are permitted to run alongside their children.

Logistics

The event headquarters is at Tackeroo Campsite, Penkridge Bank, Near Rugeley, WS15 2UA. There is free on-site parking approximately 100 meters from the start and finish area. The site also offers camping, toilets, catering, and bag storage. Race numbers are collected on-site; they are not sent in advance.

Every finisher receives a bespoke medal. There are water stations approximately every 5km on the main course. Results and photos are scheduled to be published online the Monday after the race.

Recommendations

Trail shoes are recommended. Due to the March date and course conditions, a base layer, lightweight waterproof or breathable top, running tights, a hat, and gloves are also suggested.
