Polar Bear 8 Miler
The Polar Bear 8 Miler is a single-race entry held on January 17, 2027 at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA. The race covers 8 Miles and serves as the sixth race and the start of the second half of the BCRR Winter Series.
Single race registration is available for this event; the single-event registration fee is $25. Registration for the race opens on September 25, 2026 and closes on January 17, 2027. For the larger Winter Series, annual membership registration and series registration begin each fall.
The BCRR Winter Series runs weekly from December through February, for a total of 11 races when weather permits. Participation in single races does not require BCRR membership. Non-members may register for single races onsite on race day only.
For competitors seeking series awards, series rules require at least one race and one volunteer assignment to qualify. Additional series rules and membership requirements govern eligibility for overall awards and series registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
