Pocono Mountains Marathon Race Festival
The Pocono Mountains Marathon Race Festival is a multi-distance running event held at Promised Land State Park in Greentown, Pennsylvania. Participants run through the park's environment, which features autumn foliage during the October event. The race course consists entirely of paved asphalt roads.
There are several distances available for participants:
- Full Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Combo 5K and 10K (15K total)
The Full Marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifier with course certification # PA21011NP. For the Half Marathon and Full Marathon, an early start option is available one hour prior to the standard start time for those expecting to maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile or slower. Early start participants are not eligible for awards.
The event includes a non-binary registration option with dedicated award categories for both overall and age groups. All individuals completing their first marathon or half marathon receive a commemorative plaque in addition to a finisher's medal. Standard entry benefits for all participants include a t-shirt, a finisher's medal with a lanyard, and ankle running socks.
