Event overview
The 13th edition of the Scranton Half Marathon takes place in Scranton, Pennsylvania on April 11-12, 2026. The race begins and ends at PenFed Credit Union Field at Memorial Stadium, 816 Providence Rd, Scranton, PA 18508. Organizers state the event aims to highlight the local area and generate increased exposure and revenue for local businesses. The race has donated over $450,000 in its first eleven years to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority.

- 5k
- Virtual half marathon (run and walk)
- Doherty Double (5k + half)
- Kid's 1/4 mile (ages 5-8)
- Kid's 1/2 mile (ages 9-12)
Entry fees and limits vary by event; some events list remaining spots and price increases after December 31, 2025. The 5k has a 50-minute cutoff (about a 16-minute per mile pace); times beyond that will not be recorded. Virtual half marathon entries cost $55 and include bib, finisher shirt, medal, and finisher gift; virtual entries are not eligible for age group awards or cash prizes and cannot be transferred to the in-person event. Virtual participants may pick up race swag during expo hours or receive it by mail if outside the NEPA area.
Kid's fun runs provide bibs and finisher medals and must clear the infield by 9 AM on race day. Bib and shirt pickup is available at the race expo and on race day. The half marathon walk is chip timed, includes a finisher medal and gift, has aid stations beginning at mile 7.5, and awards overall male and female finishers.
