About the race
The Office 5K is a themed road event in Scranton, Pennsylvania held on May 1, 2027. The course passes sites featured on NBC’s “The Office.” The event includes a competitive 5K and a separate modified one mile course for walkers. Participants may dress in costumes; roughly a dozen costume awards will be given, including Best Group Costume, Most Obscure Office Reference, and Best In Show. Event logistics include packet pick-up and race bag, bib, and tee shirt distribution at Cooper’s Seafood House, 701 N.
Washington Avenue, on Friday, April 30, with additional packet pick-up available on race day. A block party and an awards ceremony will follow the race. Dogs are not allowed with runners on the 5K course; dogs may be walked along the one mile course. Registration is open in advance and has a fee structure listed by the organizer: a pre-registration fee and a higher day-of-race fee.
Participants who register by April 18 are guaranteed a shirt. Awards for competitive results include top male and female finishers, top male and female masters, and top three finishers in age groups: 0-12, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The event start and finish locations are on Linden Street near Backyard Ale House, 523 Linden Street, Scranton, PA 18503.
