Event Overview
The Plough & Harrow Longman Trail 10k is a new event scheduled for June 8, 2026. It is organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the event management company. The run features a mass start, and there is also a non-competitive hike option available.
Course and Navigation
The 10 km route is a self-navigated trail run. Participants follow the course using their own device with Strava or a GPX file. A written narrative is available to download for assistance. The vast majority of the course uses public footpaths and bridleways, with a couple of road crossings. The route is described as predominately clockwise with a flat, then hilly, then flat profile. A tail runner sweeps the course.
Participant Information
Entry is restricted to individuals aged 18 and older. Participants are required to carry a mobile phone for emergency contact. Trail running shoes are recommended if conditions are wet. As a self-sufficient event, runners must bring their own provisions like water and energy gels. Spectators, including families, are welcome in the gardens.
What's Included
Registration includes a race number, a finisher's medal, and a limited-edition 20th-anniversary running vest or T-shirt. After the run, participants can exchange their race number at the venue for a pint, wine, hot drink, or soft drink. Pre-ordering a meal from the kitchen for after the event is possible.
Logistics
Parking at the venue is limited, so car-sharing or cycling is encouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
