Pittsburgh Public Schools Back-To-School 5K + Wellness Social
The Pittsburgh Public Schools Back-To-School 5K + Wellness Social is a community running event on August 29, 2026 at Obama Academy of International Studies in Pittsburgh, PA (515 N Highland Ave, 15206). The event includes a 5K road race and a post-race Wellness Social.
Registration opens June 30 and closes August 1. Registration fees are $30 before August 1 and $40 from August 1 through August 29. Race entry includes an official race t-shirt, finisher medal, bib and timing chip, and full access to the Wellness Social.
The Wellness Social features healthy food trucks, cold plunges, saunas, wellness providers, recovery stations, and local vendors. The event is organized to center movement, community, and wellness. All proceeds benefit Bigger Than Sports, a nonprofit organization that supports Pittsburgh Public Schools student-athletes through mentorship, education, and resources to prepare for life beyond sport.
