2027 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Launch Day
The event is the launch for the 2027 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend. It takes place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as a block party outside Mike's Beer Bar at 110 Federal Street in Pittsburgh. The launch marks the start of the countdown to Marathon Weekend and brings together runners, sponsors, and charity partners.
The program includes in-person information about the Run for a Reason charity program and outreach from event partners. The event features giveaways from brands such as Garmin, 4RUN2, and Brooks Running. The first 250 attendees receive a Pittsburgh Marathon running belt, and the first 100 charity runners at the RFAR tent receive a tote. Participants aged 21 and over are eligible for a complimentary beer provided by Michelob Ultra. Additional on-site elements include a live DJ, photo opportunities, and special appearances by marathon partners.
