Pitman Freedom Four Miler
The Pitman Freedom Four Miler is an annual Independence Day road race held in Pitman, New Jersey on July 4, 2026. The event features an accurately measured four mile course through the town with chip timing. The course is not certified by USATF.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes July 2, 2026. Online registration is required for race day entry; mail-in registrations must be received by June 30, 2026. Online pricing is tiered by date: the standard online fee is $30 if completed by July 2, with a higher online fee applied after that date through July 3. Race day registration has a separate, higher fee. A virtual 4 mile option is offered; virtual entries include a paid shirt option or a no-shirt option priced separately.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Borough Hall, 110 South Broadway, Pitman, NJ, and there is race day bib pickup at Borough Hall. Each in-person runner receives a race performance shirt.
Prizes include $100 for the first male and female overall finishers, trophies for top Pitman male and female, and awards mailed to the top three finishers in multiple age groups. Overall winners are determined by gun time and age group awards by chip time. Broadway will be closed on July 4 for the run and parade from the morning into midday.
