Event Overview
The Pirate's Booty is a running event hosted by the Step By Step Running Club. It takes place in Old Mill Park along North Water Street in Geneva, Illinois on September 13, 2026.
Race Distances
Participants can choose from three distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
- Kids Race for children aged 2 to 6.
Both the 5K and 10K races start and finish at Old Mill Park and are run on the Fox River Trail.
Registration and Fees
Registration fees are tiered based on the date of registration. The current registration period runs from September 17 to May 31.
- 5K Run/Walk: $39.44
- 10K Run: $44.79
- Kids Race: $19.11
Awards and Amenities
Age group awards are presented for the top three finishers in various categories for both the 5K and 10K events. All children participating in the Kids Race receive a cotton race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and sunglasses.

Packet pickup is available on a pre-race day at Dick Pond Athletics in St. Charles and on the morning of the event.
