Pirate's Beer Run is a short community event held at Hop Culture Farms & Brew Co in Colchester, CT on July 11, 2026. The event offers an on-site 0.5K run/walk and a virtual entry with shipped swag. On-site entries are limited by parking to 150 participants. Registration opens April 21, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026. On-site registration fee is $40 and the virtual entry fee is $25. Registering by June 30 guarantees a shirt size; late or onsite registration is filled from extra shirts on a first come, first served basis.
The course distance is 0.5K (about 1/3 mile, 546 yards, 1,640 feet) on a dirt road with some rocky areas. The event is not timed and walk or jog only is recommended. Arrival and check-in occur before the run, followed by post-run beer and donuts. Beer pours are provided through a partnership with Hop Culture Farms; the beer ticket is placed in the event pint glass. Not all beers may be available with the ticket. Donut sourcing is to be confirmed and donuts are picked up at a donut tent after the run.
Event swag includes a limited edition 2026 t-shirt, a limited edition pint glass, and a 0.5K sticker. A Youth Package is available for $20 and includes a youth t-shirt, a 0.5K sticker, and a donut; youth shirts are available up to Adult XL. Optional addons include dog bandana, spent grain dog treat, extra pint glass, and extra stickers. Proceeds support the Relay For Life 2026 fundraising effort for the American Cancer Society.
