Event Overview

The Pink & Teal Challenge is a walk and run event held in Rochester, New York. It takes place from Saturday May 9, 2026 to Sunday May 10, 2026 at Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623.

Participants can join in person or virtually. Children 5 years and under can take part for free and do not need to be registered. Pets are not allowed. There is no event day registration.

In-person events on May 9 include a 5k run and a walk with either a 5k route or a 2 mile shortcut. Virtual participants may complete their events any time between the evening of May 8 and midnight on May 10.

Distances and Formats

Available options include:

  • 5k Run (women/female identifying only)
  • Walk (5k or 2 mile shortcut)
  • Virtual 5k Run (anyone can participate, times not submitted)
  • Virtual Walk
  • One Lucky Runner add-on option

Virtual 5k run times are not used for age group results. In-person age group winners receive a small token in the following groups: 5–15, 16–25, 26–35, 36–45, 46–55, 56–65, and 65+. The overall winner replaces the first-place finisher in their age group.

Additional Features

In-person participants can join a costume contest for individuals and teams. Some runners receive chipped bibs; runners registering close to race day may wait 24 hours to receive them.

Packet pick-up is offered at the Breast Cancer Coalition office and at Monroe Community College. Packets can include a t-shirt (if ordered by the deadline), race bib, campus map, and optional sponsor handouts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
