Pink & Teal Challenge

The Pink & Teal Challenge is an annual event held at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. The event features a variety of walking and running options available both in person and virtually. The in-person activities take place on a Saturday, while virtual participants can complete their distances over the course of the weekend.

Participants can choose from several event categories:

  • 5k Run: A women and female-identifying only race.
  • Walk: A choice between a 5k route or a 2 mile shortcut.
  • VIRTUAL 5K Run: Open to all participants, though times are not tracked for age group awards.
  • VIRTUAL Walk: A flexible remote walking option.
  • One Lucky Runner: A specialized entry category.

The in-person event includes a organized crowd warm-up and a costume contest with prizes awarded for the best individual and team outfits. For the timed 5k run, tokens are awarded to the winners of various age groups ranging from 5 to 65+.

Packet pick-up is organized prior to the event at the Breast Cancer Coalition office, where participants who meet specific registration deadlines receive a t-shirt and a chipped bib for timed events. Children aged 5 and under may participate at no cost. The event does not offer registration on the day of the activity. Proceeds from the challenge support local programs for individuals facing breast or gynecologic cancer diagnoses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
