Pink October 2026 - Breast Cancer Awareness Fun Walk/Run
Arbour Arch invites learners, parents and community members to a 5 km fun walk/run on the Arbour Arch 5 km walking/running trail at the end of October. The event is organised to promote health, wellness and community participation in a safe environment.
The route follows the established Arbour Arch 5 km trail at 3 George MacFarlane Lane, Town Hill, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Entry fees are R100 for adults and R50 for children aged 12 or younger.
Participation is voluntary and participants are responsible for deciding whether they are fit to take part. Participants must follow instructions from organisers, marshals, security and medical staff, remain on the designated route and avoid interfering with other people, vehicles or property. Reckless or dangerous conduct is not permitted. The organisers may refuse entry, remove or disqualify anyone who breaches the terms and conditions or who may endanger others.
The organisers may postpone, shorten, alter or cancel the event because of severe weather, safety concerns or other operational requirements. Participants should report any injury, illness or unsafe condition to an event marshal or organiser as soon as possible. Photographs or video taken during the event may be used for event or community purposes; a parent or guardian may notify organisers in writing to withhold identifiable images of a child.
