PineappleMan Triathlon / Duathlon : Melbourne Beach, FL
The Indian River Networks 40th Annual PineappleMan Triathlon/Duathlon takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Ryckman Park in Melbourne Beach. Founded in 1985, the event is noted as a long-running USAT sanctioned triathlon in Florida. Multiple race formats and competitive categories are offered, including elite, age group, adaptive, Athena, Clydesdale, military/LEO/PSO, fat tire, novice, relay teams, aquabike, duathlon, and duathlon relay team.
Course summaries:
- Swim: 0.25 mile rectangle around the Melbourne Beach Pier in the Indian River Lagoon.
- Bike: 12 miles out-and-back, including a 4-mile straight section along A1A past ocean-side parks and wildlife preserves.
- Run: 3.1 miles (5K) loop through residential beach-side neighborhoods with water at miles 1 and 2.
- Duathlon: 2 mile run then 12 mile bike then 3.1 mile run; water available at the run course.
- Aquabike: swim and the same 12 mile bike; time stops at the transition entrance.
Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before at the Community Center, 507 Ocean Avenue, and there is additional pickup on race morning. Transition entry requires bike number attachment and body marking. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Awards are given across overall, masters, age-group brackets and category divisions; novice, duathlon and aquabike-specific awards are noted.
