Pine Trail Run - May 15, 2027
The Pine Trail Run is the 8th annual trail event held in Pine, Arizona, centered at the Red Barn (3180 Old County Road, Pine AZ 85544). The event raises funds to improve forest health by building and maintaining sustainable trails and by educating the public in wildfire prevention through a Firewise Garden and a Fire Interpretive Trail. The organizing group focuses on reducing catastrophic fire risk in the Rim Country communities of Pine and Strawberry.
The courses run along the Mogollon Rim at about 6000 ft elevation and are mostly on trails built and maintained by the PSFR trail crew and the Arizona Trail Association. All participants park at the Red Barn; runners are bused to the start line and all races finish at the Red Barn. Porta-potties are available at the Red Barn.

Additional event details: camping is available in the arena near the barn for the race weekend with 15 spaces on a first-come, first-served basis for a minimal fee. All 6K and 10-mile runners receive a free breakfast; extra breakfasts and dinners may be purchased during online registration for $11 and $13 respectively. Packet pickup is available Friday evening and Saturday morning at the Red Barn. Participants choose a commemorative tech t-shirt or hat; registration by May 1, 2027 guarantees apparel. Minimum ages apply per distance. The event runs rain or shine; there are no credit or refunds for cancellations. Awards include overall male and female winners across distances and age-group awards.
