Pine Trail Run
The Pine Trail Run is scheduled for May 15, 2027 in Pine, AZ, at the Red Barn (3180 Old County Road). This is the event's eighth annual running and it raises funds to improve forest health, add and maintain sustainable trails, and support wildfire prevention through a Firewise Garden and a Fire Interpretive Trail. The organizing group is Pine Strawberry Fuel Reduction, a volunteer nonprofit.
Courses run along the Mogollon Rim at about 6000 ft elevation, mostly on trails built and maintained by the PSFR trail crew and the Arizona Trail Association. All runners park at the Red Barn and are bused to the start lines; every race finishes at the Red Barn. Porta‑potties are available at the Red Barn.
Facilities and services include packet pickup on Friday evening and Saturday morning at the Red Barn, limited camping in the arena near the barn (15 spaces, first come first served, minimal fee), and a choice of a commemorative technical t-shirt or hat for participants who register online by May 1, 2027. The 6K and 10 mile participants receive a complimentary breakfast; extra breakfasts and dinners can be purchased online for $11 and $13 respectively. Age minimums apply: 6 years for the 6K, 10 years for the 10 mile, and 12 years for the 50K. The event goes on rain or shine and there are no credits or refunds for cancelations. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and by age group for all three distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
