The Mogollon Monster is a trail race held near Pine, Arizona on the Mogollon Rim on September 12-13, 2026. The event offers a long ultramarathon and a shorter mountain race that run on single track, forest service roads, and sections of the Highline Trail. The 100 mile course climbs the Rim multiple times and reaches a maximum elevation near 7,900 feet. Terrain includes rocky single track, manzanita, ponderosa forest, steep switchbacks, and exposed ridgelines. Afternoon thunderstorms from the monsoon season are possible and temperatures vary by elevation, with lows much colder on the Rim top.

The 100 mile route climbs the Rim in six places and uses aid stations and crew zones along the route. Drop bag locations for the 100 mile race include Fish Hatchery, Buck Springs, and Geronimo. Crew and pacer access is limited by location; 42K runners have no crew or pacer access. The 100 mile distance requires prior completion of at least a 50 mile race and an 8 hour volunteer service requirement or equivalent donation option. The 2026 100 mile event is a qualifier for Hardrock 100 and Western States 100. Shuttles run from a designated Old Pine parking area; finish is in the town of Pine. Live split tracking is available.
