PIKE's Run for Rescue 5K

The PIKE's Run for Rescue 5K is a community running event held on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Organized by the Zeta Iota Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha, the event serves as a fundraiser for VB Rescue, an organization supporting local first responders and their lifesaving operations.

The course is set entirely within the university grounds, taking participants through various areas of the ODU campus. The event includes a single distance option:

  • 5K run

Beyond the race itself, the event features several educational and interactive activities. A Touch-A-Truck experience allows participants and spectators to see emergency vehicles up close. Additionally, the event includes raffles where attendees can win various prizes.

The race is open to a wide range of participants, including university students, alumni, families, and members of the local community. All proceeds gathered from registration fees and activities are donated directly to VB Rescue to assist in their work within the community. The event aims to combine physical fitness with support for first responders in a campus setting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
