Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series

The Fall Series is a four-race fall cross country series held in city and county parks around Colorado Springs. Trails vary from well-maintained paths to rocky single-track with tree roots and uneven footing. One course notes rocky, hilly single-track sections and the presence of snakes; another begins and finishes on grass fields.

Distances and locations:

  • 3.8 miles, Bear Creek Terrace: soccer fields, regional trail, single-track.
  • 4 miles, North Monument Valley Park: grass field start, side trails, grass finish.
  • 5.5 miles, Piñon Valley and Ute Valley Parks: rocky, hilly, single-track.
  • 7.4 miles, Palmer Park: technical trails with rocks and uneven footing.

All entrants must be at least 15 years old. The events are chip timed and scoring is based on chip time. There are no awards for individual races; runners who complete all four races are eligible for overall and age group awards. Overall awards and age group awards are separate and no duplicate awards are given. Awards are presented at the club membership meeting and awards dinner on November 22, 2025.

Registration is online only through RunSignup and closes at 5:00pm the day before each race; there is no race day registration. A commemorative lightweight short sleeve unisex shirt is available for an additional fee. First responders and active military are eligible for a stated discount; contact the race director with identification to receive a discount code. Race day updates are posted on the club Facebook page. The series has been held since 1979. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
