Course and facilities
The route is a trail course of 10 km, one lap, described as undulating. The route follows the Trans Pennine Trail; the 10 km continues past Thwaite Mills and becomes slightly more rugged while generally running alongside the river. There is one small bridge with steps that must be crossed. Turnaround points are marked and marshalled.
Facilities at the race include water stations, toilets and a baggage store. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities and no showers.
