Event Overview

The Pierogi Stumble 5K is an annual 5 km run/walk hosted by Calumet College. The event takes place on a Thursday in late July in Whiting, Indiana. The entry fee is a flat $50, which includes a T-shirt, sample pierogis, and adult beverages. A T-shirt is guaranteed for participants who register before the first Tuesday in July.

Course Details

The scenic course starts on the Calumet College campus. It follows a bike path between Lost Marsh Golf Course and George Lake toward Calumet Avenue. Runners cross the Calumet Avenue overpass, turn right to go around a pavilion, run alongside Wolf Lake, and finish back at the college's athletic center.

Post-Race and Logistics

After the awards ceremony, a post-race party is held in front of the Dennis Rittenmeyer Athletic Center at CCSJ. The party includes sample pierogis, adult beverages, and music. Parking is available at the college. Packet pick-up on race day begins in the afternoon at The Rittenmeyer Center. The event occurs on the eve of Pierogi Fest, which is described as the third-largest event in Indiana. Computerized timing is provided by T&H Timing.
