Mercer County Food Bank's Pie Day 5K

The Mercer County Food Bank hosts the 16th Race to End Hunger, taking place at the Training and Workforce Development Center at LindenPointe in Hermitage. This event supports the organization's mission to provide supplemental food assistance to residents across Mercer County. The event consists of multiple participation options for different age groups and interests:

  • 5K Run
  • 2 Mile Walk
  • Free Kid's Fun Run (ages 5 and under)

Registration for the main events includes a race T-shirt for those who register by the specified July deadline. In honor of Pie Day, all participants receive a pie. Following the conclusion of the timed events, a separate pie-eating contest is held for an additional entry fee.

Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as top finishers in the masters category (ages 50 and over). Recognition is also given to the top three male and female participants in several age categories, ranging from age 9 and under to 70 and over. Participants in the Kid's Fun Run receive a ribbon for completing their course. Online registration is available until late July, with same-day registration offered on-site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
