Picture Me In A Tree 5 km, 10 km & 6 Hour Trail Run or Walk
The event takes place on September 12, 2026 at 1042 Sherman Belcher Rd, Centreville, Nova Scotia. It is a fundraiser with net proceeds directed to the Centreville Community Park for maintenance, repairs and new projects.

- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
- 10 km run
- 6 hour timed event
The field is limited to the first 125 registered participants, with limits assigned to each event. Age minimums: 12 years for the 5 km and 10 km events, 16 years for the 6 hour event.
Course details: about 80% shaded trail; surface roughly 70% fine gravel, 15% gravel track and 15% natural trail or groomed grass. Each loop is 2.5 km with approximately 11 meters of elevation gain/loss. Markers are placed every 500 meters. Walkers should keep right and runners pass on the left to reduce congestion.
Logistics and services: race kits include a bib and numbered lap sticks; lap recording is manual. 5 km participants receive 2 numbered sticks, 10 km participants receive 4. Sticks are dropped at a designated table each loop and the final stick is handed in at finish. Aid station near the start/finish offers water and Gatorade from coolers with taps; participants must bring their own bottle or cup. A first aid station and indoor washrooms are available at the start/finish area. Parking is available at the main lot and at the Saxon Rd entrance, about 300 meters from start/finish. Dogs and bicycles are not permitted on the course during the event; spectator dogs must be leashed.
Awards and prizes: a finisher medallion with the finisher name will be given to all finishers. Additional awards are presented to overall top male, female and non binary participants in the 5 km run, 10 km run and 6 hour run. The 5 km walking division is excluded from overall awards. Multiple draw prizes will be held for participants who are present. A reception meal is included in the entry fee; guest meals are available for CA$8.
Photo option: a hollow tree stump photo spot is located about 1.4 km into the course or 300 meters from the main washroom; photos will be posted on the event Facebook page.
Refund and transfer policy: if the organizer cancels the September 12, 2026 date the event will be rescheduled to Saturday September 19, 2026. Participants who cancel and notify the organizer by August 12, 2026 will receive a 50% refund excluding the Race Roster transaction fee. Race Roster offers optional refund insurance.
