Picture Me In A Tree 5 K & 10 K Trail Run or Walk
Picture Me In A Tree is a fundraiser for Centreville Community Park held on November 2, 2025, at 1042 Sherman Belcher Rd, Centreville, NS. The event is limited to the first 100 registered participants. All participants must be at least 12 years old on race day. Distances offered:
- 5 km trail run
- 5 km trail walk
- 10 km trail run
The registration fee for each event is $37, inclusive of mandatory charges and Race Roster fees. All funds raised, after expenses, go directly to the park for maintenance, repairs, and new projects.
Course and event details
The course is approximately 80% shaded trail with about 80% pressure dust gravel, 10% natural trail, and 10% groomed grass field. Each 500 meter section of the loop will be clearly marked. Each 2.5 km loop has an elevation change of about 11 meters. Lap recording will be manual: 5 km participants receive two numbered sticks, 10 km participants receive four; one stick is dropped at each 2.5 km recording station and the last stick is handed in at the finish chute. Walkers are asked to keep right and runners to pass on the left. All finishers receive a crafted medal with name and event on the back; top overall male, female, and non-binary finishers receive awards. There will be multiple draw prizes provided by local sponsors. Parking is available at the main lot (95 spots) and on Saxon Rd (40+ spots, about 300 m walk to the start/finish area). A staffed first aid station, indoor washrooms, an aid station with self-fill coolers, and a reception meal are included. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
