Picnic Run
The Picnic Run is the 34th annual event sponsored by the Brookville Baseball Club in conjunction with the Brookville Community Picnic. It takes place at Golden Gate Park, 545 Upper Lewisburg Salem Rd, Brookville, OH, on July 25, 2026.
The event program includes two running events and course characteristics are noted below.
- 5 km (3.1 Miles) 5K Run/Walk on country roads and city streets with one water stop.
- 1 mile Fun Run entirely within Golden Gate Park.
Breakfast is provided at the park. Registration opens March 1 and closes July 25. Entry fees and shirt policies are: 5K Run/Walk $30 with a t-shirt if registration materials are received by July 12; race day entries are $30 with no shirt guaranteed. 1 Mile Fun Run $20 with a t-shirt if received by July 12; race day entries are $20 with no shirt guaranteed. Packet pick-up is scheduled at the park before the events.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female finishers and top three in multiple age groups from 12 and under through 70 and up. The Fun Run offers ribbons for participants and medals for the top three boys and top three girls. Course record times are listed as 15:40 and 19:10.
