Event Overview
This is the 34th annual Picnic Run, sponsored by the Brookville Baseball Club and held in conjunction with the Brookville Community Picnic. The event takes place at Golden Gate Park in Brookville, Ohio.
Events
The run features two distances:
- A 5k run/walk
- A 1 mile fun run
The 5k course uses country roads and city streets and includes one water stop. The 1 mile fun run course is contained entirely within Golden Gate Park.
Registration & Logistics
Registration for the 5k costs $30 and includes a t-shirt if registration is received by July 12th. Race day registration is also $30, but a t-shirt is not guaranteed. Registration for the 1 mile fun run costs $20 with a t-shirt if received by July 12th, or $20 on race day with no shirt guaranteed.
Packet pickup is available at the park from 7:00 to 7:45 AM. Race results will be posted on the timing website.
Awards
For the 5k, awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three finishers in multiple age groups ranging from 12 & under to 70 & up. Participants in the 1 mile fun run receive ribbons, with medals awarded to the top three boys and girls. A breakfast is provided for participants.
