Event Overview
The Pi Day Run takes place on March 14, 2026 at Woodward Park in Fresno, California. The event combines running with a celebration of science and mathematics.
Running Distances
Participants can choose from three run/walk distances:
- 2 Mile
- 3.14 Mile (Pi)
- 6.28 Mile (2Pi)
A virtual "Run Anywhere" option is also available.
S.T.E.M. Fair and Booth Competition
A central feature of the event is a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fair. Students, clubs, and professionals are invited to set up display booths, which are voted on by participants. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three youth and college booths in categories like Elementary School and Junior High/High School.
Event Details
The event includes a t-shirt, a finisher's medal, and fruit pie for participants. There is also a costume contest. Age group awards are given for the top three male and female runners in the 3.14 Mile and 6.28 Mile distances only.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at The Bike Shop @ Woodward and on race day at the park.
