Event overview

The Pi Day Run takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Woodward Park - Mountain View Shelter in Fresno, CA. The event features multiple run/walk options: 2 Mile, 3.14 Mile (Pi), 6.28 Mile (2Pi), and a virtual "Run Anywhere" option. The program also includes a S.T.E.M. Display Booth category and a STEM fair. Proceeds benefit a scholarship fund at CSU Fresno for STEM majors. Registrations made before March 11 are guaranteed a shirt while supplies last.

Format, awards and logistics

Participants receive a T-shirt and a medal; the event also offers fruit pies in several flavors and a costume contest. STEM booths are classified as Elementary, Jr High/High School, College, and Professional. Youth and college booths compete for cash awards of $350 (1st), $250 (2nd), and $150 (3rd) as voted by participants. Age group awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd, male and female) are offered for the Pi and 2Pi distances across standard age brackets (1-6, 7-10, 11-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+).

Packet pick up is available the day before and on race day at designated locations, including The Bike Shop @ Woodward and the Mountain View Shelter. Venue access notes ask entrants to use the Audubon Entrance, pass the tollbooth on the right, and park in the first or second lot past the tollbooth. Volunteers receive a free run or 50% off a multisport event, coffee, snacks, and a shirt; volunteer codes are transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
