Event overview
The 2026 Pi Day 5k & 10k is scheduled for March 14, 2026 at Wakefield Park in Annandale, VA. Points from this event count toward the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and the race is chip timed. The course route runs from Wakefield Park to Byron Avenue Park.

Practical information
Registration fees listed by the organizer: 5k $30 (until February 28, then $35), 10k $45 (until February 28, then $50). Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance. Shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before March 4; extra themed socks may be available later on a first-come, first-served basis. Packet pickup is available at the event; participants are advised to arrive about one hour before their event to check in. Race day registration is offered, with shirt sizes not guaranteed for race day registrants.
Water stations: four stations on the 10k at approximately miles 0.9, 2.3, 4.0, and 5.4; two stations on the 5k at approximately miles 0.9 and 2.3. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the Wakefield RECenter. Live results will be posted online and via a QR code at the event. Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd in defined age groups; top three overall are not eligible for age-group awards.
