Event overview
The Pi Day 5k & 10k is scheduled for March 14, 2026, at Wakefield Park in Annandale, VA. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.

The event is chip timed. Registered runners receive a finisher’s medal and a technical (Drifit) event shirt. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before March 4; additional themed socks may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Race day registration is available; t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants. Listed fees include 5k $30 and 10k $45 until February 28; fees increase after that date and increase by $5 on race morning.
Course, safety, and logistics
The route runs from Wakefield Park to Byron Avenue Park. The 10k course includes four water stations near miles 0.9, 2.3, 4.0, and 5.4; the 5k course includes two water stations near miles 0.9 and 2.3. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the Wakefield RECenter. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
Awards and other services
Top three overall men and women are awarded. First and second place male and female awards are given in these age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Volunteers are assigned tasks on race morning. Parking is available near the Wakefield Park & Ride at 8100 Braddock Rd (GPS 38.813793, -77.225108). Organizer: Bishops Events.
