2026 Pi Day 5k & 10k
This event takes place on March 14 at Wakefield Park in Annandale, Virginia. It offers chip-timed road races on a course that runs from Wakefield Park to Byron Avenue Park.

Points from these races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and also toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Registered runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. Shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 4; additional themed socks may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Race day registration is offered and t-shirt sizes for race-day registrants cannot be guaranteed.
Registration fees listed are: 5k $30 until February 28 then $35, and 10k $45 until February 28 then $50. Entry fees increase by $5 on race morning.
The 10k course has four water stations at about miles 0.9, 2.3, 4.0, and 5.4; the 5k course has two stations at about miles 0.9 and 2.3. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the Wakefield RECenter. Live results are posted online and final results with series points are published after the event.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age groups from 19 & under through 70 plus. Parking is available near the Wakefield Park & Ride at 8100 Braddock Rd; GPS coordinates are 38.813793, -77.225108.
