PHS Marching Band 5K and Fun Run
The PHS Marching Band 5K and Fun Run is a community-focused sporting event held at the Hucks Sansbury Recreation Complex in Roxboro, North Carolina. The event is organized by the Person High School Marching Band to support their local program. Participants have several ways to take part, including in-person physical activities or a remote option for those unable to attend at the venue.
During the event, students from the marching band are stationed along the course. These students may participate by running and walking alongside guests or by playing their instruments to provide entertainment for those on the move. The event features multiple course lengths to accommodate different preferences:
- 5 km Run or Walk (approximately 3.10 miles)
- 1 mile or less Fun Run
- 5 km Virtual Run
The in-person routes are centered around Huck Sansbury Park. The virtual option allows participants to complete a 5 km distance at a location of their choosing while still supporting the high school organization.
