Manchester - Wings of Remembrance 2026
Manchester - Wings of Remembrance 2026 takes place in Alexandra Park, Greater Manchester on Sunday 08 November 2026. The event is held in remembrance and includes a commemorative Lancaster Bomber medal for participants.
The course uses a predominantly tarmac loop inside Alexandra Park. One lap measures 3.28 miles with approximately 246 ft of elevation per lap. Road running shoes are suitable in all weather. Public toilets and a café are available at the venue.
Distances (run as many laps as desired)
- 1 lap: 3.28 miles
- 2 laps: Just over 10K, 492 ft elevation
- 4 laps: Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, 984 ft elevation
- 8 laps: Marathon, 26.2 miles, 1,968 ft elevation
- 9+ laps: Ultra distance
The event is organised under TRA and UKA rules and is open to participants aged 18 years or over. Parking options include free public car parks around Alexandra Park, on-road parking on Queens Road and nearby streets, and approximately 20–30 free spaces at the Alexandra Park car park off Kings Road. There will be a two-minute silence during the event to mark the occasion. The chosen charity for the event is War Paws - Helping animals affected by war and conflict.
