Phoenix Running Wings of Remembrance 2026
The event takes place on Sunday 08 November 2026 in Alexandra Park, Greater Manchester, OL8 2BN. It is a Remembrance Day running event where a two minute silence will be observed to mark the day. Runners receive a Lancaster Bomber medal and all participants are given a medal or memento.
The course is predominantly tarmac inside Alexandra Park. Each lap is approximately 2.92 miles with about 217 ft of elevation per lap. Road running shoes are suitable in all weather. The venue provides public toilets and a cafe on site.
Parking is available in free public car parks around Alexandra Park, with on road parking on Queens Road and nearby streets. There are approximately 20 to 30 free spaces at Alexandra Park Car Park off Kings Road; participants should check local parking restrictions.
The event is held under TRA and UKA rules. Participants must be 18 years or over. As per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under. The chosen charity for the event is War Paws.
