Tactical Navigation Challenge
The Drop - Manchester is a navigation-focused event where participants are transported to unknown locations and tasked with finding their way back to the event centre. This is not a traditional race with a marked route; there are no directional signs, maps, or external assistance provided. Participants must rely on their own decision-making and sense of direction.
Before starting, all electronic devices, watches, and navigational aids must be handed over to the organizers. Participants board a bus and wear blackout blindfolds or safety goggles during transport to ensure the drop-off point remains undisclosed. Upon arrival, the blindfolds are removed, and participants must travel back to the finish on foot.
Distances are measured as the crow flies, meaning the actual distance traveled on foot will be longer than the stated challenge length. For safety, every participant carries a sealed emergency bag containing their GPS recording device and a live tracking system. Breaking the seal of this bag results in disqualification.

- 15 miles (As the crow flies)
- 10 miles (As the crow flies)
- 6 miles (Exclusively for non-locals without area knowledge)
