PHOENIX - Supermarketathon
The PHOENIX Supermarketathon is a six hour timed running event held at Tesco Bridgend Extra, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend. Participants complete repeated laps that run in and around the supermarket building and its car park. The event offers a choice of distances and allows entrants to complete as many laps as they wish within the six hour limit.
The course begins in the supermarket foyer, follows the perimeter of the car park, returns through the foyer, continues up the travellator, then follows a circuit of the first floor before returning down the travellator and through the foyer to start further laps. For safety reasons participants must walk while on the travellator. The final lap length is to be confirmed but is likely to be around 0.4 to 0.5 miles.

Entry fees are listed as £57.95 for affiliated runners and £59.95 for unaffiliated runners. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules. All attended and virtual participants receive a physical finishers' medal or memento. Places are limited and the event is described as the first PHOENIX Supermarketathon.
