PFW Running - World Diabetes Day Run
The PFW Running World Diabetes Day Run takes place at Stanley Park in Blackpool, Lancashire. This event features a 3.1-mile loop course on flat tarmac with a short gravel section. Participants can complete as many laps as they wish within a 6-hour time limit, with options to run distances equivalent to a half marathon, marathon, or ultra by completing multiple laps plus short out-and-back sections.
The run supports Breakthrough T1D, a charity focused on finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes, with all profits donated. Runners receive drinks, snacks, and a bespoke medal upon finishing. The event welcomes adults aged 18 and over, with some distance restrictions for younger runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
