PFW Running - The Wyre Wine and Cheese Run
The Wyre Wine and Cheese Run takes place on Thursday, 10 September 2026 at Wyre estuary country park, River Road, Thornton-Cleveleys, FY5 5LR. It is a trail event held under UK athletics rules and a trail running license.
The course is a mostly flat trail of about 4 miles along the Wyre estuary with a few small rises. Runners follow the trail to a turn point where an aid station provides water and a small measure of red or white wine. Finishers receive a medal, a 187 ml bottle of red or white wine (with lid) and a selection of cheese and crackers.
Event facilities include free parking, toilets, medical cover and marshals. Entrant numbers are capped at 150. The event is for adults only; the minimum age is 18 years. Entries close on 09/09/2026.
Refunds are not permitted and no deferrals are offered. Entry may be transferred to another runner up to one week before the event date, subject to providing the new runner's details to the organiser.
