PFW Running - Granny's Bay Challenge
The PFW Running - Granny's Bay Challenge is an annual running event held in the seaside town of Lytham, Lancashire. Starting at the Fylde Spitfire Memorial, the flat 5.24-mile out-and-back loop follows a tarmac path along the Ribble estuary, passing scenic spots like Fairhaven Lake, Granny's Bay, and Lytham Green with views of Lytham windmill and the estuary towards Southport and North Wales. Runners can choose their distance, completing laps within a 6-hour timed event: a marathon requires five laps, a half marathon two laps plus a short loop, and completing one lap earns an official time and medal.
The event welcomes runners aged 18 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
