PFW Running - Brockholes Bimble
PFW Running stages a trail event at Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston on 7 May 2027. The course uses paths around the reserve, passing lakes, the River Ribble and woodland. Brockholes is owned by the Wildlife Trust, covers 250 acres and houses the UK's first floating visitor centre.
Distances and lap format:
- 10 km: one lap plus a short out-and-back
- Half marathon: three laps of the course
- Marathon: six laps of the course
- Ultra: as many laps as desired within a six hour time limit
On the day participants can expect sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial & coke, a bespoke medal and post-run goodies. The route will be fully marked and medical cover is provided. The event is held under UKA rules and a Trail Running Association race permit number is to be announced.
Additional event details include a maximum of 100 entrants and an entries close date of 6 May 2027. All participants must be 18 or older; 18-19 year olds may compete up to marathon distance, and those aged 20 and over have no maximum distance. Refunds are not permitted; transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event. The event forms part of a three-day series.
