PFW Running - Brockholes Bimble
PFW Running - Brockholes Bimble is held within Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston. The course uses the reserve paths and passes several lakes, the River Ribble and areas of woodland. Brockholes is owned by the Wildlife Trust, covers 250 acres and includes the UK's first floating visitor centre.
Distances offered:
- 10K one lap of the course plus a short out and back
- Half marathon three laps of the course
- Marathon six laps of the course
- Ultra as many laps as the runner wishes within a six hour limit
The ultra has a six hour time limit and the final lap must be started within five hours thirty minutes. The event is run under UKA rules and will have a Trail Running Association race permit number assigned. The route will be fully marked and medical cover will be provided.
On the day participants can expect sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial and coke, plus a bespoke medal and post run goodies. Entrants are limited to 100. All participants must be aged 18 or over; runners aged 18 to 19 may enter up to the marathon distance while over 20s may enter any distance. Refunds are not permitted; transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
