Event information
The Brockholes Bimble is a trail running event held on 08 May 2026 at Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston New Road, Samlesbury, Preston, PR5 0AG. The course follows paths around the reserve and passes several lakes, the River Ribble and woodlands. Brockholes covers 250 acres and includes a floating visitor centre. The race format uses laps of a circuit: the 10K is one lap plus a short out-and-back, the half marathon is three laps, the marathon is six laps, and the ultra is as many laps as the runner can complete within the time limit. There is a 6 hour time limit; the last lap must start no later than 5 hours 15 minutes. Snacks, water, cordial and coke are provided on course or at feed stations. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-run goodies. The event is part of a three-day series and entries can be made for one, two or all three days.
