PFW Running - Avenham Amble
PFW Running - Avenham Amble is a parkland running event held in central Preston on Sunday 9 May 2027. The event starts and finishes at Avenham Park Cafe beside the River Ribble and follows a route that passes through Miller Park and the Upper Farm nature reserve and leisure park.
The course is on hard surface paths and is run as laps of a marked route. Specific lap formats are used for each distance and an overall time limit applies to the ultra distance.
Distances:
- 10K: 1 loop plus a short out and back.
- Half marathon: 3 loops of the course.
- Marathon: 6 loops of the course.
- Ultra: as many laps as a runner wishes within a six hour limit; last lap must start within 5 hours 15 minutes.
On event day there will be sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial and coke, a bespoke medal and post run goodies. The route is fully marked and medical cover is provided. The event is held under UKA rules and the Trail Running Association race permit number is to be announced.
Additional details: maximum 100 entrants, entries close 07/05/2027. All participants must be over 18; 18 to 19 year olds have a maximum distance of marathon. Refunds are not permitted.
