PFW Running - Avenham Amble
PFW Running - Avenham Amble is a multi-distance running event around the parklands of central Preston with start and finish at Avenham Park Cafe, Avenham, Preston, PR1 8JT. The route uses hard surface paths and passes by the River Ribble, through Miller Park and across the river into Upper Farm nature reserve and leisure park before returning to Avenham Park.
Distances offered:
- 10K: 1 loop plus a short out and back
- Half Marathon: 3 loops of the course
- Marathon: 6 loops of the course
- Ultra: as many laps as desired within a six hour limit
Facilities and race details include fully marked routes, medical cover, post-run snacks and drinks, and a bespoke medal. The event is held under UKA rules and has a Trail Running Association race permit number to be announced. The event is part of a three day series with options to enter one, two or all three days.
Maximum entries are capped at 100. All participants must be over 18; ages 18 to 19 may enter up to the marathon distance while those aged 20 and over have no maximum distance. Refunds are not permitted; transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event. Entries close on 07/05/2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
