Event overview
The event takes place on Sunday 10 May 2026 in Avenham Park, Preston (start and finish at Avenham Park Cafe, PR1 8JT). Distances offered include:
- 10K - Affiliated £22, Unattached £24
- Half marathon - Affiliated £26, Unattached £28
- Marathon - Affiliated £30, Unattached £32
- Ultra - Affiliated £36, Unattached £38
Max entrants for the event are 100. Entries close 03/05/2026.
Course and format
The course runs on hard surface paths through central Preston parklands. The route starts in Avenham Park, passes through Miller Park, crosses the River Ribble into Upper Farm nature reserve and leisure park, then returns across the river to finish in Avenham Park.
Lap format:
- The 10K is one loop plus a short out-and-back.
- The half marathon is three loops of the course.
- The marathon is six loops of the course.
- The ultra is as many laps as a runner wishes within a six hour limit; the last lap must start within 5 hours 15 minutes.
Refreshments will be provided on course, including sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial and coke. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-run goodies.
Entry conditions
All participants must be over 18. Participants aged 18-19 may enter up to marathon distance; those aged 20 and over have no maximum distance. Trail Running Association race permit number is listed as TBA. Refunds are not permitted; transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event.
