Event Overview
The PFW Running - Avenham Amble is a running event taking place on Sunday, 10th May 2026. It starts and finishes in Avenham Park, by the River Ribble in Preston. The route passes through Miller Park and the Upper Farm nature reserve and leisure park.
Route Details
The course is on hard surface paths. Participants can choose from multiple distances. The 10 km is one loop plus a short out-and-back section. The half marathon consists of three loops of the course. The marathon is six loops. The ultra distance has no set number of laps; runners complete as many laps as they wish within a 6-hour time limit. The final lap must start within 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Event Information
The route is fully marked and the event is held under UK Athletics rules. Medical cover is provided. There is an age restriction: all participants must be over 18. Runners aged 18-19 have a maximum distance of the marathon. For those over 20, there is no maximum distance. The event has a maximum of 100 entrants.
Entry fees vary by distance and affiliation status. Registration closes on 3rd May 2026. According to the organizer's terms, refunds are not permitted. Entries can be deferred or transferred to another runner up to one week before the event date.
