Pewsey Downsaround
Pewsey Downsaround takes place on Sunday 26 April 2026 and is based at the Pewsey Scout Hut (SN9 5ES, grid ref SU162601). The event is a circular walk on footpaths and bridleways with views over the Vale of Pewsey and the Marlborough Downs.

- 35 miles (35.4 miles)
- 26 miles (26.6 miles)
- 17 miles (16.9 miles)
- 10 miles (10.6 miles)
The route visits a number of archaeological and historic sites, including Avebury Stone Circle, Windmill Hill, the Stone Avenue, Silbury Hill, the Sanctuary, the Long Barrow, the Giant's Grave, Wansdyke, Morgan's Hill, Cherhill, and Tan Hill. Checkpoints provide light refreshments, and a light meal is available at the finish. All participants must bring their own mug and eating implements. Vegetarian options will be catered for and there may be some vegan and gluten free choices, though specific allergen free guarantees cannot be given.
The event is limited to 300 entries. Entry fees are listed separately for LDWA members and non-members: the 35, 26 and 17 mile routes carry one fee level and the 10 mile route a lower fee. An e certificate is provided for all finishers. Route descriptions and GPX tracks will be available from the LDWA Wiltshire page from 1 April and must be downloaded for the day.
