Pewsey Downsaround
The Pewsey Downsaround is a circular event on Sunday, 26th April 2026. It starts and finishes at the Pewsey Scout Hut (SN9 5ES) in Wiltshire. The routes use footpaths and bridleways across the Vale of Pewsey and onto the Marlborough Downs.
Four distances are offered:
- 35.4 miles
- 26.6 miles
- 16.9 miles
- 10.6 miles
The routes pass sites of historic interest, including Avebury Stone Circle, Windmill Hill, the Sanctuary, and Morgan's Hill. Light refreshments are available at checkpoints, and a light meal is provided at the finish. All participants must bring their own mug and eating utensils.
The event has an entry limit of 300 participants. An electronic certificate is provided for all finishers. Registration opens at 07:30 for slower walkers on the longest route, with runners required to start after 09:00. All participants must finish by 20:00. Route descriptions and GPS files will be available in March 2026.
Entry fees vary by distance and membership in the organiser, LDWA. The fees are £16 for LDWA members on the three longer routes, or £21 for non-members. The 10-mile route fee is £11 for members or £14 for non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
