Petzl Night Trails 10k Coombe Abbey (March)
This is a night-time trail race held at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry (CV3 2AB) on 9 March 2027. The event is a trail 10 km route that runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields. The course has exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces and a few gates to navigate. The route is undulating but not hilly, and a winter variant is used between October and April.
A head or chest torch is required to take part. Petzl are planned to attend with demo lamps for participants to try, though attendance is confirmed closer to the event. Dogs are not permitted on the course because of a narrow out-and-back section.
There will be biodegradable cups with water and electrolyte on the course for this event. There is a toilet block next to the event headquarters on site. Parking is available at the park and costs up to £3 for 1 to 2 hours. The park is on the outskirts of Coventry and is about 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the closest train station is Coventry.
Entry fees follow a tiered pricing model: before 9 February 2027 the fee is £16, after that date £21, with an additional £2 for unaffiliated entrants.
