Petzl Night Trails 10K - Coombe Abbey (March)
The event is a trail 10 km held at Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry (CV3 2AB). It uses an adapted winter route between October and April, avoiding the usual meadow area. The course runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields and includes exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces and a few gates. The route is undulating but not hilly.
Running requires a head or chest torch. Competitors without a torch are not permitted to run. Petzl may attend with demo kit so participants can try different head torches; presence will be confirmed closer to the event.
Parking at the park costs up to £3 for 1-2 hours. There is a toilet block next to the event HQ. The park is on the outskirts of Coventry and is about 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the closest train station is Coventry.
This event is not cupless. Biodegradable cups with water or electrolyte will be available on course, and participants may bring a collapsible cup if they prefer. Entries follow tiered pricing: before 09/02/2027 the fee is £16 and after that date the fee is £21; unaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. There is an effective cut-off of two hours based on medic cover. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Finishers receive a medal and some goodies, or alternatively a Big Bear Tree Token is available instead of a medal to support tree planting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
