Peterson Ridge Rumble
Peterson Ridge Rumble is a trail running event held near Sisters, Oregon, with races that start and finish at Sisters Middle School. The event offers three distances and uses the Peterson Ridge and Metolius-Windigo multi-use trails. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the Sisters High School Cross Country team and makes an annual donation to Sisters Trails Alliance. Entrant capacity is limited to 500 across all distances.
Distances
- 40 miles - mostly trail with some dirt road sections, varied uphill and downhill terrain, about 2,700 ft total vert.
- Trail marathon - follows the 40-mile course for most of the route and finishes with the 20-mile; about 1,600 ft total vert.
- 20 miles - ridge route with uphill first half and downhill second half, about 1,200 ft total vert.
Aid stations and support are provided along the courses. The 40-mile has five full and two limited aid stations; the marathon has three full and two limited aid stations; the 20-mile has four full aid stations. Aid stations appear roughly every 3 to 7 miles. Drop bags are allowed at specified aid stations for the 40-mile. Crewing rules differ by distance and are restricted in many locations. Packet pickup is available the day before at Blazin Saddles bike shop in Sisters and at the school on race morning. The event provides post-race food options, showers in the Field House locker rooms, and awards plus finisher socks for all finishers.
