Peterson Ridge Rumble
Peterson Ridge Rumble is a trail running event held on April 11, 2027, near Sisters, OR, with start and finish at Sisters Middle School. The event uses the Peterson Ridge and Metolius Windigo multi use trails and offers three distance options:
- 40 miles: mostly trail with some dirt road; about 2,700 ft total vert.
- Trail Marathon: mostly trail with some dirt road; about 1,600 ft total vert.
- 20 miles: ridge views of Central Oregon Cascades; about 1,200 ft total vert.
Aid stations and drop bag support vary by distance. The 40 mile course includes five full aid stations and two limited stations; the trail marathon includes three full and two limited stations; the 20 mile has four full stations. Aid stations are placed approximately every 3 to 7 miles. Drop bags are allowed for the 40 mile at specified aid stations and some aid stations permit crew access while others do not.
The event is a fundraiser for the Sisters High School Cross Country team and makes an annual donation to Sisters Trails Alliance. Entry is capped at 350 participants across all distances. Packet pickup is available at a local bike shop the day before and at the middle school on race day. All finishers receive commemorative Rumble finisher socks and top finishers are recognized in several age categories. Post race food and on site locker room showers are provided.
