Perth Beach Obstacle Course Race
The Perth Beach Obstacle Course Race is a single-day obstacle event returning in 2026. It will take place at the Scarborough Amphitheatre in Scarborough, Western Australia.
The event features a 5 km obstacle course. The route starts at the amphitheatre on the foreshore, winds through Trigg trails, travels along the West Coast Highway run path, and finishes back at the amphitheatre. The course crosses mixed terrains including beach, shared paths, and scenic trails. The 2026 edition will feature the course run in reverse.
Participants can expect to encounter approximately 20 obstacles along the course. Examples mentioned include a 6m high A-Frame, Ninja Grip Alley, Military Walls, crawls, climbs, and carries.
There are multiple participation waves scheduled throughout the day, with starts every 10 minutes. These include several 5 km waves and a separate Championship Race for elite competitors featuring a $5,000 cash prize pool. A special Trek4Vets Wave is also offered, where participants may choose to run wearing a weighted vest.
A finisher medal is included with registration. After the event, there will be access to a Recovery Zone offering massage, physiotherapy, chiropractic services, and compression boots. Food trucks, coffee, and a Healthy Nutrition Beach Bar will be available.
The event is presented by the City of Stirling. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Trek4Vets, an organization supporting military veterans. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
