Pensacola Half Marathon and 5K
The Pensacola Half Marathon is an athletic event held in Florida during the Columbus Day weekend. The course begins and ends inside the Blue Wahoos Stadium at Maritime Park, situated with views of the Pensacola Bay. Participants follow a route designed to showcase local historic areas and coastal scenery.
The race itinerary includes several distinct neighborhoods and landmarks:
- Half Marathon Run
- Half Marathon Walk
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Participants loop through the historic North Hill community and cross the Bayou Chico bridge, which offers views of both the local marina and the bay. The course also traverses the Historic District in downtown Pensacola before returning to the stadium at Maritime Park.
The half marathon distance has a time limit of four hours, which requires a pace of approximately 18:00 per mile. If participants cannot maintain this pace, a support vehicle provides transportation to the finish line.
Parking is available at the Wahoo’s Stadium Parking Lot. Because the parking area is located adjacent to the start line, no gear check services are provided for this event. Packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the race at a local running store or on the morning of the event at the stadium. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
