Pennine Barrier Ultra 50

The Pennine Barrier Ultra 50 is a challenging 50-mile ultra-marathon held in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, starting and finishing in the village of Malham. Featuring 2,593 meters of ascent, the course includes iconic landmarks such as Malham Cove, Malham Tarn, Fountains Fell, Janet’s Foss, and the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The race offers excellent support with five checkpoints providing refreshments and medical aid.

With a cut-off time of 18 hours, it is a well-organized event under UK Athletics and Trail Running Association permits. The ultra is part of the GB Ultras 50 Mile Slam and Grand Slam series, attracting up to 750 runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
